Music Society

The St Edmund’s Music Society (SEMS) is there to provide those students who have an interest in music the means to practice and share their talent with others. Admission to the society is free, and happens automatically when access to the music practice room is provided. This also includes new members into the SEMS mailing list, through which communications of musical relevance are conveyed.

There are two types of musical events SEMS organises during term time: Open Mic Nights and the End-of-Term concert. The Open Mic Nights are jam sessions usually taking place in the CR for either acoustic or amplified performances. The End-of-Term concert is set in the Garden Room and hosts exclusively acoustic performances.
